American Idiot, Dublin is set in the recent past and follows the story of three friends who are trying to find their place in a post 9/11 world. Trapped in the banality of suburbia the friends struggle to chase their dreams and face the harsh truths of reality.

The musical premiered at the Berkeley Repertory Theatre in California in 2009 and then transferred to Broadway in 2010 where it won the Tony Awards for Best Scenic Design of a Musical and Best Lighting Design of a Musical alongside a Grammy for the Best Musical Show Album. The show features all the songs from Green Days Grammy award winning American Idiot album as well as songs from their 8th album 21st Century Breakdown and a number of B tracks.

American Idiot, Dublin features many of Green Day’s hit songs including Boulevard of Broken Dreams, 21 Guns, Wake Me Up When September Ends, Holiday and Good Riddance (Time of Your Life).
