Based on the novel and cult screenplay by Donn Pearce, Cool Hand Luke London takes the story of rebellious prisoner Luke Jackson to the stage.

Arrested for cutting the heads off parking meters while drunk one night, Luke Jackson is sentenced to two years in prison. Sent to a Florida prison camp, Luke refuses to conform to the rituals and established hierarchy and comes head to head with the prisons self acclaimed leader ‘Dragline’. Winning a poker game he is given the nickname Cool Hand Luke but the World War II veteran is soon at arms with the Boss Godfrey as he continually pushes the boundaries of prison life and attempts to escape the brutal life of the chain gang.

Cool Hand Luke London takes the cult film to the Aldwych Theatre in the West End and includes the iconic scene where Luke eats fifty eggs in an hour just to win a bet. The celebrated 1967 film stared Paul Newman and in 2005 was added to Americas National Film Registry.

Adapted for the stage by Emma Reeves, Cool Hand Luke London stars Marc Warren in the title role. He is best known for his TV roles in Hustle, Band of Brothers, Accused and most recently Mad Dogs.
