The Olivier Award winning Death and the Maiden, play is returning to London’s West End to take stage at the Comedy Theatre. It has been an incredible 20 years since the show made its premier at the Royal Court in 1991 and it is sure to thrill audiences during its run.
Death and the Maiden, play follows the story of Paulina a political prisoner who suffered at the hands of her captor. Having never seen the face of the man who held her, she is haunted with terrible clarity despite the years that have passed. One night, as if by chance, a stranger arrives at the secluded beach house she shares with her human rights lawyer husband, Gerardo.
Paulina can’t help but feel that this stranger was her captor and tormentor and he must be held to account for his wrongdoings.
With an incredible cast including Tom Goodman-Hill, Anthony Calf and making her West End debut the amazing Thandie Newton Death and the Maiden will not disappoint.
Please note: Death and the Maiden, play is not suitable for audiences under 12.
