Renowned throughout the world Madame Butterfly London was first performed in 1904 in Milan. It received its first London performance at the Royal Opera House in Covent Garden in 1905.
Inspired by a short story by John Luther Long Puccini?s opera tells the tale of an American naval lieutenant and his young Japanese bride. Accompanied by a wonderful score Madame Butterfly London is a sensational opera fuelled with emotive passion, love and devastating tragedy.
