How to book Noises Off
Michael Frayn’s award winning comedy Noises Off will perform at The Old Vic theatre until the 10th March 2012. The hilarious play within a play follows the back stage antics of a theatre company as they struggle from rehearsals to opening night and the final end run of their production.
Set at the fictional Grand Theatre in Weston-Super-Mare Noises Off takes an inside look at the trials and tribulations of backstage life as the cast and crew of the play Nothing On miss their queues, forget their lines and let their personal affairs spill over into their onstage performances. Michael Frayan has captured the backstage world to great comic effect in this hugely entertaining comical production.
Premiered in 1982 starring Patricia Routledge, Paul Eddington, and Nicky Henson Noises Off is one of Britain’s best loved comedy plays with revivals taking place across the UK and America. Directed by Lindsay Posner the new production of Noises Off has a superb cast starring Jonathan Coy, Janie Dee, Robert Glenister, Jamie Glover, Celia Imrie, Karl Johnson, Aisling Loftus, Amy Nuttall and Paul Ready.
Noises Off is recommended for ages 10+
