Following a hugely successful run at London’s Drury Lane Oliver the Musical heads on a national tour from December 2011. This much loved musical is multi award winning and has been seen by millions of people worldwide, both on stage and screen. Lionel Barts exceptional music has touched the hearts of all who have seen this fabulous production from school groups to couples, families and friends it is a great show for the whole family to enjoy.

Oliver the Musical features a superb catalogue of songs including the much loved Food Glorious Food, Consider Yourself, You’ve Got to Pick-a-Pocket or Two, I’d Do Anything, Oom Pah Pah and As Long As He Needs Me. Based on Dickens novel Oliver Twist, Oliver tells the tale of the orphan Oliver and all that happens to him as he finds himself on London’s streets. The 1968 film adaptation starring Ron Moody, Mark Lester, Oliver Reed, and Harry Secombe won 6 Academy Awards including the award for Best Picture.

Oliver the Musical will show at the Edinburgh Playhouse from the 30th May – 7th June. Brian Conley will take on the role of Fagin though cast members cannot be guaranteed for every performance.
